How to get an embossed cookie?

1. Cream together butter and sugar

2. Add eggs and extract and mix it all.

3. Sift flour and salt altogether, then add to wet mixture in small amounts until well incorporated.

4. Wrap in foil and put in the fridge for about 20-30 minutes. The dough should be hard enough not to stick to the rolling pin.

5. Roll, emboss and cut cookies into desired shapes, dusting with flour as necessary.

6. Bake cookies at 200 C for about 8 minutes until tops appear dry rather than shiny.

The biggest secret of making beautiful cookies is to pre-heat well the oven, and apply the right amount of pressure on the dough.

How to take care of your rolling pin, to provide it a long lifespan?

First wash them with a brush and then with water and soap if necessary and dry well before reuse!
